How do you raise your cattle?

Our happy Black Angus are pasture raised on a nutritious diet of homegrown grain, corn, and grass TMR (total mix ration). TMR ensures for a completely balanced ration consisting of corn with vitamins and minerals to maintain health. This also optimizes tenderness and taste with the final product. The breed we raise is well known for the ability to marble within the meat, a trait preferred by many customers. It increases the ability to grade “choice” and “prime”.

Do you also sell pork?

Yes! Our pigs are fed pelleted feed from a feed mill we do business with. The animals are raised in pens with adequate room on a bed pack to promote healthy feet and legs and allow muscle to build in a natural way.

Pork is available to purchase by the 1/2 and whole animal.

How much does your meat cost?

Just like with many product markets, the beef market always has the potential to change. For current and up-to-date pricing, please contact us for more information.*

*First time customers may require a down deposit when placing an order.

How much meat can I expect to get?

Beef is available to purchase by 1/4, 1/2 and whole animal. A full steer typically hangs at around 850 lbs, but it can vary slightly per animal. *

Pork is available to purchase by 1/2 and whole animal. A full pig typically hangs anywhere from 200 - 225 lbs. *

* Please note: the hanging weight of the carcass will weigh more than the final product, due to what would need to be trimmed out during the butchering process (large bones, organs, fat etc.)

How does the order process work?

When your order is placed, we book an appointment with a local processor. At the time of appointment, we personally transport the selected animal to the local facility who performs our butchering. Each steer carcass is dry aged in the cooler room for two weeks to ensure tenderness. The meat is then trimmed and custom cut to your liking. Finally, it is vacuum sealed and date labeled to ensure freshness. Once your order is complete, you can pay for and pick up your meat at the butchering facility.
