Smoky Bourbon Maple Chili

- 3 lbs Applewood Farm ground beef

- 3/4 cup Pocono Mountain Maple’s organic Bourbon syrup

- 1 large yellow onion (diced)

- 1 can kidney beans

- 2 cans fire roasted tomatoes

- 2 tsp smoked paprika

- 2 tsp garlic

- 2 tsp smoked garlic (set aside 1 tsp)

- 3 tsp SuckleBuster’s Sweet Heat Habanero Rub

- 2 tsp SuckleBuster’s Texas Pecan BBQ Rub

- 1/2 cup beef broth

Cook ground beef in stockpot until browned. Drain, add 3/4 cup maple syrup and let simmer.

In separate saucepan, drizzle additional syrup and add 1 tsp smoked garlic to onion. Sautee until browned and translucent. Transfer cooked onion to ground beef. Add beef broth, beans and fire roasted tomatoes and cook on medium heat. Add remainder of spices and continue to simmer until flavors are well blended.

Enjoy as is or add desired toppings such as sour cream or shredded cheese.
